Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo... I'm a little late. Like a week...lol, but better late than never. At least that's what I'm going to say because it fits my narrative right now :) ANYWAY!!! Let's get into weeks 1 AND 2 of the of the Stitch Along!
WEEK 1
This blanket has been fun and challenging to make. As promised, it has been a great way to learn new techniques. The waterfall stich is simple (once you get the hang of it) and beautiful. The way the ombre yarn changes coloring creates a seamless look throughout the blanket.
The pattern is worked in double and single crochet. The coolest part though? While typical double crochet is worked left to right, these stitches are worked veritcally!!!!! WHAT?!?!?!?!?! Yup! You heard right! VERTICAL!!!
WEEK 2
Week 2 is more practice with the waterfall stitch. This time instead of the waterfall being staggered in appearance, we move in a diagonal direction. This was a little more advanced than week 1, but still appropriate for a beginner-intermediate crocheter. Don't be intimidated to try this out for yourself.
